Description

This course will cover the most important patent and trademark law developments under U.S. law. The discussion will include in particular statutes and judicial decisions within the past twelve months. This course will prepare the learner for advising their clients and practitioners so they do not (i) miss non-extendable deadlines and/or invest in applications for subject matters which are not eligible for the protection requested. This is particularly the case for the deluge of Federal Circuit decisions finding purported inventions patent ineligible, and which is currently the subject matter of proposed legislation in Congress.
